Dale Ullom has studied (Aikido, Jujitsu, Karate, and Kick-Boxing) since 1970 with some of the top martial artists in the country. He teaches a unique blend of many skills and techniques which he has mastered.
Mr. Ullom uses a positive reinforcement method of teaching. He feels that children can learn much better in an environment that encourages the students to have fun while they learn.
As an instructor, he takes a realistic approach to teaching self defense. He believes in keeping techniques simple and helping teach the ability to defend yourself on the ground, as well as on your feet.
Mr. Ullom is the founder of the A.A.F.A. and the AiKIDo* program.
Tim Poindexter (with Mr. Dale)
My name is Mr. Tim and I have studied American Aikido and Fighting Arts under Mr. Dale's direction for 11 years.
I have always been intrigued by Aikido but A.A.F.A is more than that. This ultimate self-defense art combines Aikido, Karate, Kick-boxing, and Grappling, which is why I truly believe it is an all around solid self-defense.
My pleasure in teaching this art is to see the "light" that comes on when you finally learn all its components and understand its efficiencies.
I encourage you and your family to join this Dojo, as it will be a positive influence for you and your family.
